Boca resident Sharon Kilbride found two suffering sea lions and an ill pelican on Will Rogers State Beach this week.

Twice, the Pacific Palisades Community Council member contacted mammal rescue at the hotline (800) 399-4253 to help the sea lions.

“I also found one sick pelican at Will Rogers Beach and notified the lifeguard who put a towel and cones around the sick bird and notified authorities,” Kilbride said. “I found a dead pelican behind Tallulah’s restaurant in the back parking lot on Entrada.”

Lifeguards can be contacted at (310) 466-3912 to help with injured or sick wildlife found at the beach, Kilbride said. However, for the dead bird at Tallulah’s, resident Tom Pryor volunteered to help dispose of the bird
